Syhart 72-073 :

To mark the 60th anniversary of EC 1/12 “Cambrésis” and its disbandment on March 30, 2012, Mirage 2000C 103-YN was selected to wear a striking one-off livery.

Created by artist Régis Rocca, the scheme features a majestic golden eagle sweeping along both sides of the fuselage, its wings extending towards the tail. The fin itself carries the coat of arms of the city of Cambrai, combined with the squadron’s insignia: a black double-headed eagle holding a golden shield decorated with three blue lions.

In addition to this flagship aircraft, two other Mirage 2000Cs and a Rafale C were given special tail markings. These paid tribute to ESTA 2E-012 (Escadron de Soutien Technique Aéronautique) and to the “Tiger” emblem of SPA 162, whose heritage was passed on to Escadron 1/7 “Provence” at Saint-Dizier. Meanwhile, the unit’s two other badges, SPA 89 and SPA 166, were formally placed in reserve.
