First introduced into French Air Force service in 1978, the Alpha Jet celebrated a major milestone in 2008 by logging its one-millionth flight hour. To mark the event, Alpha Jet E25, stationed at Cazaux Air Base (BA120) with the AJeTS (Advanced Jet Training School), was given a striking commemorative livery: the letter “Alpha” beneath the cockpit, “1,000,000” emblazoned along the fuselage, and the school’s insignia proudly displayed on the tail.

This aircraft flown as “Tator” (demonstrator) serving as the Solo Display Alpha Jet demonstrator for the 2008 airshow season.
